TOP 10 Tips To Look Younger

As I inch towards 42, I’m definitely seeing things changing! While I’m happy to be getting older and see all the awesome benefits that come with it, the game has definitely changed. Here’s my TOP 10 Tips to Look Younger and Feel Younger TOO! If you don’t feel younger, you certainly ain’t gonna look it! 😉 For more depth, check out my YOUTUBE VIDEO BELOW!

TOP 10 Tips to Look Younger

1. Limit Alcohol and Don’t even thing about smoking!

I love my wine! I really do, but I’m trying to only drink 3-4 times a week vs every evening with dinner. A glass of wine with dinner is amazing, but alcohol really dehydrates and that’s a top ager! 2. Watch Your Facial Expressions!

There is NO need to furrow your brow 24/7! Relax that face and while we’re at it, we don’t need to lift our eyebrows constantly to feign interest! While you don’t need to become a walking doll, just be aware of your expressions and relax your forehead if you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror or computer reflection.

3. Watch Your Posture

I’m a huge posture advocate and this is really important as part of TOP 10 tips to look younger. It not only keeps your spine healthy and allows you to access mucles to work them out efficiently, it’s also for vanity! Having a beautiful posture instantly makes you look and feel more confident, not to mention younger. I have a whole series devoted to better posture that you can do today!

4. Thicker Brows and Eyelashes

Nice full eyebrows and eyelashes help with the appearance of youth. I’ve always struggled with eyebrow volume, and rely on soap brows to give me any semblance of brow game! You can see my tutorial here. However, what if you can grow them thicker? I’m currently on week 2 of NeuBrow and am so hopeful that it will help me get some brow volume back. 5. Wearing Too Much or Wrong Type of Make-up

Nothing ages us faster than wearing the wrong make-up! Some foundations can be super cakey and not hydrating enough for older skin. I have really loved the moisture infused Hyaluronic By Terry Foundation that keeps the moisture in my face. I’m currently testing several others to stack them up. If you don’t want to invest in new foundation, consider a setting spray or rose water spray after concealer or a primer to seal in hydration.

6. Skin Texture

No Matter what your poison is in terms of injectibles, face lift, au naturale or fillers, skin texture is highly important! An amazing way to keep skin texture firm, supple and elastic is with everyday microneedling at home. I’ve spoken about this at length, but worth repeating that I’m a huge BeautyBio GloPro lover. 7. Retinols

It will not only help you look younger, it will keep you sane! That’s huge. 🙂

Jane Fonda, then J.LO said it best, when you’re getting older you have to pick between your ass and your face! I first heard this when I was about 27, and I laughed. It seemed pretty ridiculous. Now, I can totally see what they’re talking about. I would look 10X better with 5 more pounds on me. Unfortunately, at the moment I can’t gain them because I’m still teaching a full schedule at MaZi Dance Fitness. My knees can’t take the extra weight, so I’m stuck between picking between my ass, my face, my knees. LOL While there is no need to become overweight for a beautiful plump face appearance, there is also no need to be painfully thin! Let’s just rejoice, shall we?!

10. Off With Their Head- Get Rid of Toxicity

You wanna know what I learned from COVID-19 Pandemic 2020 situation? Everyone does what’s best for them. As I serial people pleaser, this was SO freakin liberating. With everyone around me doing whatever they thought best for themselves and their families, I finally felt like I could just lead myself (and my family) and get rid of toxicity. I went to Hawaii last Summer, and got a lot of angst for it. We went for a whole month, quarantined, got tested, etc. and yet still people had “issues” with it. What I found was that most of the people that attacked me for “not doing it their way” during COVID-19, where also the people that broke a lot of rules behind closed doors or just not publicly.

Last year it felt like nothing we could do was the right thing, and unfortunately this sentiment continues. Cancel culture is on a massive rise, no one can get it right. We all experience it on different scales. My top advice for TOP tips to look younger is to get rid of that toxicity! It can be really hard to give up friendships and relationships, but nothing ages you faster than toxic people. Toxic people have a NEED to control you and manipulate you through emotional strings. They truly believe they are the victims and they will make you feel bad most of the time. Do what’s best for YOU! Walk away, and stay younger with one less thing to furrow your brow about. LOVE, Z
