The dewy glow- How to apply bronzer/highlighter & blush

I discovered primer, bronzer and highlighter last month at a Juice Beauty event that we had at MaZi Dance Fitness (which I’m co-founder of) and it’s been a game changer. I’ve at times dabbled in wearing some blush but never the other 3.

For the past 3 years I have used an array of Juice Beauty products; the mascara, sunscreen, eye mask, face oil, goop beauty products and cleansing oil. BUT, with the exception of the mascara, hadn’t tried a lot of the “make-up”.  I was missing out! I love this company because after meeting the executive team on separate occasions, truly believe they are trying to do something GOOD, of QUALITY. Karen Behnke, the founder has a quote that I love that says that she started the company because she believed that “women deserve better”. I agree. We do deserve paraben-free, cruelty-free make-up that is sustainable and overall full of goodness.

So the GLOW. I have many a times looked at celebrity faces like J.LO or Giuliana Rancic and they are literally glowing. I always wonder what it is that they are doing or if it’s a special photoshop effect!? Well, it turns out it’s expertly applied highlighter/bronzer/blush and most likely….primer! That light that comes out of nowhere? The sunkissed dewy look? What is that?! At the event we had at MaZi, a Juice Beauty team member sat us down and applied the goodies transforming an already gorgeous girl into a glowy, dewy, gorgeous girl. I said, I’ll have what she’s having!! Haha.

The surprise element here was the primer. It’s literally illuminating and preps your face for whatever you might do next even if it’s nothing! I really love that product. I first apply the blush in Peony and dab onto the apples of my cheeks in the Peony Long Lasting Look blush. Then, I used the bronzer to bring out my bone structure along my hairline, chin, sides of my nose, and cheekbones. I then blend, blend blend, and then blend some more. Finally, my favorite part, I use the highlighter to bring out wherever I would like the “spotlight” to hit me. My brow bones, center of my forehead, down my nose, on top of my lip and then in a triangle shape around my eyes. I’m so much more visual then following zzzzzz written instructions. For an easier digest, take a look at the video! LMK if you try it! Most brands make a version of all 3 products. If you’re wondering what you have to, HAVE to get, I would vote the illuminating primer with Phyto-pigments and highlighter/bronzer stick!  XO, Z
