Beauty Hacks Using Water

It’s easy to overcomplicate beauty and lifestyle, but sometimes the best remedies are the simple ones. Here’s a few of my favorite beauty/wellness remedies that don’t require much more than water. We are blessed to have water available to us almost anywhere! Here are some beauty hacks using water I use regularly.

FROZEN: Beauty Hack Using Frozen Water

I swear by ice. Every night when I was performing, I would stick my feet in a bucket of ice water to prevent inflammation and injury. While I know that’s extreme, icing with a good ole insulated ice cube or ice pack is my favorite remedy for depuffing my AM eyes. Not only my eyes, but my whole face! I know have an awesoe CRYO Roller from BeautyBio that’s convenient, but just plan ice will do.

How to: You just need an ice cube wrapped in a paper towel. Simply rub the cube over your face and eyes for 2-3 minutes after and then wash your face with cold water! This not only reduces inflammation but closes off pores and minimizes breakouts.

WARM: Beauty Hack Using Water for Irregularity

I got this tip from my college Biology professor actually. She said with all this studying you guys are probably really constipated. All you need to do is drink 2-3 lukewarm glasses of water as soon as you wake up! You’ll be good to go. I remember sitting next to my crush and blushing wondering if we were all truly constipated. And then wondering if he was wondering if I was. In any case, I probably wasn’t with all the dancing I was doing but tried it later in life when I was and just smiled. It works!

If you need more encouragement, bullet proof coffee works wonders also. Bullet proof coffee is adding a tablespoon of water to your cup of joe. If you don’t want caffeine, just add tsp of canola oil to your glasses of lukewarm water. Not yummy, but it works!

SALTY: Beachy Waves Salt Water

I love that beach hair look I get when I go to the ocean. To get beachy waves when I’m thousands of miles from the beach, I used to love to use Beautycounter’s Spray (discontinued) or when I run out make my own concoction of: cup of warm water in bowl , a tablespoon of sea salt and 5-7 drops of coconut oil. The oil moisturizes while the sea salt structures and shapes my hair. Salt can be drying but if you condition, it shouldn’t be a problem! You can also make a good salt scrub for scalp here that helps grow your hair too.

HOT: Water Therapy

And finally, the last thing on my TikTok video was actually a joke. However, water does calm me down! Being by water all summer really helped with anxiety. Last year I tried a float spa and felt brand new! My body felt 10 years younger and my head and energy clear. To recreate at home, I put 2 pounds of sea salt in really warm, almost hot, water. You feel weightless and purified. Earlier this summer, I was experiencing some kidney pain, and my aunt recommended I try this I was good as new!

Hope you try some of these beauty hacks using water, and let me know what you think! A great organization saving water sources is this one here. Cheers to H2O! Love, Z
