Beachy waves, made easy peachy! No tools required.

This is my tried and true beachy waves technique that works while you sleep! Win/Win! Here’s how:

  1. Wash hair, towel dry and untangle so it’s damp but not wet.
  2. Dab a bit of Miss Jessie’s Transitioner’s Magic all over. If you have fine, thinner hair add a texturizer such as the classic Bumble & Bumble Surf spray or Thickening spray.
  3.  Braid your hair starting at the nape of the neck. I recommend a french braid (that starts higher up and uses thinner strands) for shorter hair OR curl resistant hair. When you secure the bottom make sure to loop your hair so that it creates a little curl like so.
  4. Sleep! 🙂
  5. The next morning when you’re able to style, undo your braid and flip your hair over your head and spray your favorite hair spray at the root for volume. Add a little hair oil, Kerastase and Garnier are my absolute faves. Those will add a healthy shine and smooth out dry hair or fly-aways.
  6. Take a look. If you need more control add another dab of the Miss Jessie’s Transitioner’s Magic, but let your hair flow for a bit. You want it to look effortless (cause it is, ha ha).
  7. Enjoy and look for subtle changes to the waves throughout the day! -Z

Gah! I wish it was that easy for me. I just end up looking like I slept in a wet braid the next morning. Your sister and you were blessed with incredible hair.

Thanks for trying it Tanya! Did you use product before braiding? Another factor is to not have your hair be too wet. If your hair is super straight try a french braid it creates more weaves that are thin. xo! Ziba
